Artists don’t come to Hampshire County to retire; they come to work. Lucky for us, that means we’ve got a pool of master artisans and craft makers who are constantly knocking our socks off.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get your mitts on some handcrafted wares at craft fairs and studio openings, like a robin’s egg blue vase fresh from the kiln, a custom-made walnut table, or a watercolor painting of that new view you love.

Northampton’s Paradise City Arts Festival first put Western Massachusetts on the arts map over 20 years ago. Now you can drop by studios in old mill buildings that have been reclaimed by artists, like Eastworks. Or visit Snow Farm – a crafting mecca for artisans and art lovers – where you can buy handcrafted items in their annual Seconds Sale, or blow your own glass Christmas ornament. Browse our listings of museums, galleries, and showings to find that perfect art spot.
