Cannabis

 |

Cannabis is open for business, baby. And it’s no longer for dark basements and clandestine hand-offs. It’s out in the open, (dare we say) en vogue, and finally legal to be sold for recreational use in Massachusetts.

Needless to say, we’re excited, and Hampshire County is welcoming this versatile plant (and it’s enthusiasts) with open arms.

The first shop to open for recreational sales in the state was NETA’s Northampton location (they also have a shop in Brookline), where Mayor Narkewicz was first in line on opening day. There’s been a line out the door almost every day since, so either come prepared with coffee and the New Yorker, or reserve ahead and skip the line. Want to understand how mainstream this multifaceted plant has become? NETA is part of the Northampton Chamber of Commerce. So there.

Also open for recreational sales in Hampshire County is Insa— a medical and adult-use dispensary in Easthampton, located just off the bike path in the Keystone building. Whether you’re new to cannabis or a die-hard from way back, Insa offers the flower, edibles, and oils you’re after, in a gorgeous and welcoming space that will reassure even the most nervous first-time customer. Pay them a visit! And don’t forget, if they’re a member of the chamber, even your grandparents will approve.
