New in Northampton

Downtown Northampton has seen a lot of change in the last 18 months. Some longtime local businesses have closed their doors — Artisan Gallery, Cathy Cross, and Silverscape were Main Street touchstones for decades — while others have expanded. 25 Central took over Artisan's space, while Rebekah Brooks expanded into Cathy Cross's storefront across the street, continuing the long history of woman-owned businesses in those spaces.

Others are newer businesses that have joined Northampton's downtown community: The Cotton Gallery brings t-shirts, novelties, and souvenirs to their Main Street storefront, while nearby Instincts & Friends offers clothing for kids and their grownups, and quirky household goods to brighten your home. In their second-floor space above Harlow Luggage, Simply Chic Crafts showcases local, handmade goods. And in Thornes Marketplace, floral shop Many Graces takes locally grown literally, producing their perennials and annuals on over four acres of certified organic fields.

On Market Street, Joe's Albums will help you keep up with the latest vinyl releases, while Holeymoleys will keep you in comic books (get a discount when you use their subscription service). Ready to settle in with your new album? Pick up a craft brew for your listening session at Bottle-O's King Street location. And as we enjoy the best of spring, be sure to check out Mxed Greens botanical goods and dye workshops. Whatever you're looking for, one thing is for certain: Northampton is still a shopper's Paradise City!
