This year marks the return of a beloved Amherst tradition: Hot Summer Nights on the Town Common, a series of free family films beginning this Wednesday, July 24. Live music begins at 6 p.m., and movies at 8:15. On July 24, the Ephemeral Stringband plays old time fiddle music before Pixar’s Brave. On July 31, Carrie Ferguson performs and DreamWork’s Madagascar 3 is screened. On August 7, the folk music of June & The Bee is followed by Disney’s 2011 film, The Muppets. The rain date for each show is the following day.

On Saturday, July 27, a gourmet local dinner is being served up at Enterprise Farm by expertly trained chefs featuring craft beer and wine, great local and live music from The Milk Bottle Band and showcasing the bounty of the late summer harvest. Whole Foods Market in Hadley is celebrating 30 years as a community partner in Western Massachusetts, their 25 year partnership with Enterprise Farm, & CISA’s 20th Anniversary! Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to CISA and their Food Access Programs and to support the Enterprise Farm Mobile Market and People’s Share.
