With Halloween right around the corner, we figured you might want to get out there and have a little spooky fun in Western Massachusetts. And if spooks and horror aren't for you, everyone loves to have fun dressing up with a good party to attend.

Truly Terrifying Happenings

Monster Mash Scream Park at McCray's Farm: South Hadley, Friday-Sunday; Family-friendly ride from 5:30-6:30; adults start at 7 p.m.

Northampton's Zombie Pub Crawl: Saturday, October 22 at 6 p.m. One night every October the dead rise and swarm the streets of Northampton in search of booze, brains or both., and some of them are REALLY good at zombie makeup...

Halloween Double Feature Amherst Cinema: Thursday, October 27 at 7 p.m., featuring John Landis's An American Werewolf in London and John Carpenter’s They Live.

Story Telling

Halloween Walk and Evergreens Tarot Readings at the Emily Dickinson Museum: Friday, October 28 at 7 and 8 p.m.  While you wait for your tarot reading, roam the dark grounds of the Museum on a guided walking tour by lantern light.  Along the way you’ll explore some of the darker aspects of the natural world and human nature represented in Dickinson poetry, family history, and books in the Dickinson library. Tarot readings will be held in the 19th century rooms of The Evergreens.

Valley Ghost Tours: Tours Thursday, October 27-Sunday-Monday, October 31 from 7:30-9 p.m. The last tour of the season on Halloween ends with a ghost-story telling party at The Foundry in Northampton.

The Suitcase Junket at the Shea Theatre: Friday, October 28, 7 p.m. with Twisted Pine. Costume dress up is encouraged!

Halloween Brew-Haha at Fort Hill Brewery: Saturday, October 29, 2-8 p.m. featuring live music, food from Wheelhouse Farm Truck and more.

Hallowween Bash at Abandoned Building Brewery: Saturday, October 29, 8 p.m. $5 entry fee, featuring live music by Wocky, LuxDeluxe and Fovea (NYC).

And the Kids Halloween Show at Gateway City Arts: Saturday, October 29, 9 p.m. with Palm and Vunderbar. You better believe this is a costume party, too!

Family Friendly

Haunted Train & Lights display at Look Park: The last rides for this season run Friday-Sunday October 28-30 from 5:30pm-8:30 p.m.

Halloween ComicFest at Comics N’ More: Saturday, October 29, 12-8 p.m. at Comics N’ More in Easthampton. Free comics and candy!

Mister G's 5th Annual Halloween Fiesta: Sunday, October 30 at 11 a.m. at the Academy of Music in Northampton. 

Downtown Northampton Trick or Treat: Monday, October 31, 4-6 p.m. at participating downtown Northampton businesses

Halloween Trivia at The Quarters: Monday, October 31 8 p.m. Weekly trivia event with an appropriate Halloween theme this week.
