Delaney’s Pecan Pumpkin Pie
At the Delaney House we have a full service bakery specializing in custom desserts, wedding cakes, cupcakes, cookies, breads and pastries. Our Pecan Pumpkin Pie is just one of the seasonal dessert selections.
Pecan Pumpkin Pie
Pumpkin Layer
- 2 9" Unbaked Pie Shell or homemade pie dough*
- 2 eggs
- 1 can of pumpkin puree
- 1.5 oz Brown sugar
- 4.5 oz Granulated Sugar
- 6 oz Milk
- 4 3/4 oz Evaporated Milk
- 1 t cinamon
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1/4 t nutmeg
Directions: Mix together, spread on the bottom of the pie pans
Pecan Layer
- 1 1/2 C . corn syrup
- 1c Brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 6 T melted butter
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 t pecans
Directions: Spread on top of pumpkin layer and Bake for 40 minutes on 350- baking time varies based on oven.
Dough recipe
- 2 1/2 cups AP Flour
- 1 c Shortening, chilled
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 c Ice cold water
Directions: In a bowl mix salt and flour together. using a fork or pastry blender,cut shortening into flour until it resembles course crumbs.
Add in water a little at a time until dough forms. Place in refrigerator for one hour before using.
