Hampshire County loves fresh, locally grown food. And we know just where to go for it – straight to the source.

The Connecticut River Valley in western Massachusetts boasts some of the best farmland in New England. At the heart of that valley, Hampshire County has built a long and steady farming tradition. Some of our farms have been passed down for generations; others were started recently by inspired folks. The common vision: fresh, tasty local food.

Get back to the land when you visit one of our many working farms. Buy everything from grassfed beef to goat cheese truffles, from maple syrup to pulled pork. You can even pick your own peaches, strawberries and blueberries here in western Massachusetts.

This is farm-to-mouth living. And yes, it does involve ice cream.
